Cassava Cakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cassava flour
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Butter for greasing the skillet

Instructions

Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine the cassava flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

Prepare Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until you have a homogeneous mixture

Combine Mixtures

  • Pour the liquid mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and mix until you have a smooth batter

Heat the Skillet

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter

Cook the Tortitas

  • Pour small portions of the batter into the skillet, forming round cakes
  • Cook the tortitas for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown

Repeat

  • Repeat the process with the remaining batter

Serve

  • Serve the cassava cakes warm, accompanied by your favorite syrup or fruits
